Chiefly correspondence (63 items) between Walter L. Cook, Director, Student Field Education at Bangor Theological Seminary and Margaretta Thurlow. The seminary was supplying pastors to the United Christian Church during the time of the correspondence and Cook would introduce the next week's "supply" as the student pastors were called in a letter. During the week following the supply's stint in the pulpit, Thurlow would write a critique of the student's sermon, etc. The collection also contains some miscellaneous notes and other items from Thurlow''s own church correspondence.
